Gastric Bypass is high-risk surgery
Gastric Bypass is high-risk surgery. I’m afraid of developing a serious complication or dying after the surgery.
In experienced hands, laparoscopic bariatric surgery, including Gastric Bypass, is very safe, having a mortality (death) risk as low as other commonly performed operations like gallbladder removal or hip replacement. Serious complications are rare. Less serious complications are infrequent and are usually manageable without permanent effects on your health or the success of your procedure. ON THE OTHER HAND, It is the continuation of untreated or inadequately treated SEVERE OBESITY that is a high-risk threat to your health and future.
